Wednesday was a very rough day for individuals involved in the cryptocurrency space. Many people who bought into the hype of assets that supposedly only go up were brought back to earth as bitcoin plunged from $43,000 at 12 am to $30,000 by 2 pm on the same day—a 30% drop. 

“Get out of bitcoin before bitcoin swallows you.” “I stepped in with a thousand, next thing I know, ego my dollars [became] 50 dollars. I nearly lost my mind.”
